The open-end remix project of the original ambient tracks "Emptiness" series (emptiness-series_001 ~ 010) field-recorded at several places in Tokyo last year 2020, which the Olympic events were supposed to be held in, or the places included the theme "Emptiness", produced by kaolu_euphony, Tokyo, Japan. (started 2021-)



- Introduction -

The problem that emerged from the current state of this COVID-19 Pandemic, continued since last year, is that we have 'lost' something, and it must have been a huge 'emptiness' created by it.

While enthusiastic about 'sports', many people are still dead and at risk of life, but the ignorance and neglect remains. Differences in the countries of residence, values, races and wealth have created major divisions in every region and people whole in the world. These are realized examples of 'our hearts' emptiness'.

In other side, people disappeared from the city, travelers too, and there was no one in the place where people gathered, such like 'physical emptiness'.

(However, in such a situation, there are people who work to save people in the face of danger, people who are actively going to solve the problems or people who try to regain their original lives. We must not forget that.)

Especially in Japan, many losses, our hearts' emptiness and physical emptiness, cause a lot of divisions, due to the long-term impact of the pandemic on our lives, the postponement of the Olympic game and the unplanned re-hosting of 2021, political corruption and dishonesty, which are still going on.

In this remix project ​​you will perform to use the ambient tracks "Emptiness" series, which kaolu_euphony produced and field-recorded to visit some major places in Tokyo on the ex-day of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Game on July 24, 2020, and in August also to visit some places which the situation of the theme 'Emptiness' appeared in.

This place is a famous Japanese shrine and also famous for having international political problems, and the political message from the current worship of the ruling party members is causing a conflict with other countries. Also, I think the big problem we Japanese (and people living in Japan) are facing is that we have lost our identity as Japanese as a result of neglecting our interpretation, responsibility or understanding of the post-WWII nation.

In this quiet place again in afternoon, Aug. 9 2020, the ex-day of the Closing ceremony, the noises of the usual and the repeating sound of low-flying planes remained. It's as if the huge crowd already have not existed originally.

今リミックスプロジェクト、”reinterpretation remix project for Ambient Tracks "Emptiness""は、昨年(2020年)7/24及び8月における、（オリンピックが延期となってしまった）東京の各所にてフィールドレコーディングした素材を用いて、編集したアンビエント作品”Emptiness”シリーズ（emptiness-series_001 ~ 010）を再解釈しリミックスを行う、オープンエンドのリミックスプロジェクトです。

今現在もなお続いているパンデミックの現状、それによって顕著になった様々な問題、私自身の身の回りに起きた出来事を含め ... 常に考えを巡らせざるを得ない日々が続いていることだろう。

その中で表出したものは、私たちが既に経験していた大きな”喪失”の露呈であり、またそれによって生み出された巨大な”空虚”（emptiness）であったはずだ。

世界中がスポーツで熱狂している中、今でも多くの人の命が危険にさらされている状況、
住んでいる地域や、置かれている状況、価値観の違い、人種や貧富の差によって、世界中のあらゆる場所で人々に生まれた大きな分断、
デマゴーグや陰謀に狂信させられる心理や、未来への不安、
そういった「心の」空虚さと同時に、

街からは人が消え、集える空間、他人と共有する時空間が喪失していき、希薄化していく他人との繋がりにさらに拍車がかかった。
そういった「物理的な」空虚さも生まれたことだろう。

特に日本では、パンデミックにおける生活への影響の終わりの見えない長期化や、オリンピックの延期と2021年の再開催、政治の腐敗と不誠実さによって、多くの喪失、心と物理的な空虚さ、そして分断が発生し、それが今もなお継続している。

また、先のオリンピックでは、ビジョンや方向性を失い、空白であり混沌とした現在の日本の姿が世界中に露呈され、私たち日本人（日本に住む全ての人々）のアイデンティティの喪失とその空虚さを改めて痛感させられた。

その中で一つの回答を模索したい思いで、今プロジェクトを始動するに至る。

このプロジェクトは、本来は喧騒に包まれていたはずの一年前、2020年7月24日のオリンピック開会式当日や8月に、その”空虚さ”（emptiness）をテーマに、東京の様々な主要の場所に訪れてフィールドレコーディングを決行し、その素材を用いて編集したアンビエントトラック作品集 'emptiness series'（emptiness-series_001 ~ 010）を用いてリミックスを行うものです。

上記テーマに則って、日本や日本以外の様々な国、自分の住む地域のことを表現しても構いません。

楽曲のジャンル制約なし・期限無制限・その他の集音素材、モジュラーシンセ等インストの追加も可。

完成音源はデータを送って頂き、このページに随時追加、アーカイブされていきます。

ソース・オリジナル音源は、Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 に準ずるものとします。

アーカイブ作品は、今サイトにおいては無料ダウンロード公開としますが、全権利は各アーティストに帰属し、制作者本人における他サイト上での公開・配信・販売は、有料・無料問わず、許可されています。
